The Microsoft Surface operating system is Windows RT. However, Microsoft has stated it will also offer a Surface with Windows 8 Pro installed in the near future. However, if you are looking for additional storage options, this tablet also has a microSD card slot as well as a USB port, so you can plug in another drive.

The Type Cover acts as a QWERTY keyboard and contains a row of function keys, Windows shortcut keys and directional keys. They keys are pronounced, making it easier to type quickly and accurately. This cover also contains a trackpad for moving your cursor. Keep in mind, while the Type Cover may make it easier to accurately type information, it is not spill resistant and it only comes in one color, which is black.
